You can overcome it, no matter the obstacle, you can get through it.

On August 1st 2000 an amazing person was born. Her name was Qiana Michaela Tucker. Growing up for her was anything but ordinary, often times she told me, “It was crazy, dramatic, and just all round stressful.” On the contrary she had some really great times. She said her favorite memory was going to Disney world for the first time. After all that is the place where dreams come true right? Well, for her it definitely was a dream come true, so much so she has been back multiple times. As a military kid, she had many negative things to be sad about, but she seemed to find the positives. She says the happiest she has ever been was when her mom returned from deployment. While she found the positives, she did have some negatives. She said she remembers being saddest that her dad decided to marry someone else, which is completely understandable on her part. No matter how long it's been, you always feel a little hurt. She is strong though, she can overcome anything she needs to. Her biggest accomplishment is overcoming her dyslexia. Many people don't understand just how hard having dyslexia is. Each case is different, sometimes you mix up b and d or maybe you mix up m and w. It makes it hard for her read and write so therefore overcoming this obstacle for her was a huge achievement. Having a military mom meant moving schools, she says that was the probably the scariest thing she has ever had to do. However after a while, she found where she belong and fit, and met some really great people. When asked if she would ever do it again she told me, “well it depends on the situation. At first I was really shy, and it took me a while to make friends, you could say it was an adventure for me.” Qiana has a few role models. Her first one is food, it has always been there from her, but in all seriousness her mom is her role model. What she said about her mom was really touching, she said “My mom has been there for me since I was born, I guess ever since I was born I've always wanted to be like her.” Qiana says that a good role model doesn't have flaws, is fearless, brave, passionate, loves themselves, and wants to try and change lives. Qiana like to both standout and fit in. Some days, she says “I just don't really feel like standing out, others I feel like I have to.” At this moment in time, Qiana is most focused on herself and her friends and family.
