Desert

The desert region of California can be divided into two categories. One is the Mojave Desert and the other is the Colorado Desert. The Mojave Desert is known as the "high desert", because the elevation can be up to 11,000 feet. The Colorado Desert is known as the "low desert" because the elevation is -230 to 1,000 feet above sea level. California's deserts are hot and dry all year long.
