The coast meets the ocean or sea at the edge of the land. California's coast is divided into three parts, which are the northern coast, central coast, and the southern coast. The northern and central coast's climate is cool and wet, and the southern coast is sunny. California's coast stretches for 1,264 miles. It starts from the Oregon border up north all the way down to the border of Mexico in the south.
