How does climate affect lifestyle?

California's climate allows people to do different activities all year round. For example, in the coast you can go surfing. In the mountains you can go hiking. In the Central Valley you can visit the vineyards, and in the desert you can go rock climbing. 

In different regions of California, because of the climate, you must wear different types of clothing. For example, in Coastal regions you can wear shorts, bathing suits, and flip-flops,but in the mountains you probably want to wear long sleeves, jackets, and boots.
