Survival
Hawaiian monk seals exist in Northwestern Hawaii, mainly around the area between Nihoa Island and Kure Atoll. These areas are mostly secluded and are uninhabited by humans, or are rarely visited by humans. This makes these islands the perfect place for the seals since they are easily disturbed. There are an estimated 1,100-1,200 Hawaiian monk seals left in the world.
