Entry #7 March 22, 450 BCE
So sorry it has taken so long for me to write again. Isabel and I have been busy with all our wedding ceremonies. In fact, we leave tomorrow to go on a short weekend trip together before we come back and start our everyday lives together. You're probably wondering how on earth I was able to marry this plebeian girl. The reason is that a law was passed that made marriage of two people from different social classes legal. Because of that one law passed, I am the luckiest man in the world.
Isabel and I are planning to start a family of our own, so that I can carry on the name established by Cassian Sr.'s dad. Our family has a lot to offer to this wonderful city, Rome. I hope as my family lives on, the Roman Republic remains in tact and keep strong government system that protects the rights of all my descendants. From this entry on, I am burying this journal in the ground of my house. Maybe one day my son or daughter will find it, and they can inform the future world on how life evolved in the city of Rome.
