Analyze
-sky and water share the same colors but are separated by the type of brush stroke
-red, orange, and green unify picture
-first three colors of sky (red, orange, and green) seem as if they are pushing the blue sky away
-horizontal brush strokes of water drags the eye towards the shadow of the building whose vertical brush strokes pull eye up towards the sky; eye continues to move clockwise along with the diagonal brush strokes of the sky till it stops at the darker line in the horizon that separates the ocean from the sky
Interpret
The contrast of colors between the dull buildings and the vibrant sea and sky communicate how man made creations cannot match the true beauty of nature seen everyday.
