I believe this theme was conceptualized throughout time because nature has always existed. It was here before we came to be, and it provided a simple beauty free to all who could look at it, so even early people wanted to capture that beauty and share it with others. This is why values and concerns of different times did not really affect the portrayal of nature. People in every time period tried their best to accurately illustrate nature, so the only differences could be the art techniques of their time. Nature has existed longer than we have and has provided a variety of beautiful scenes and images all around the world for people to capture.
