Texas had many thing in it to pass the time. Daily activities, horse racing, hunting and fishing were some things that you could do really and time on any day. Special events, like fiestas, wedding, baptisms, revivals, and even political debates were things that didn't happen nearly enough were great for big social gatherings and for people to hangout after their job was done.
