Central Valley

If you looked on a region map of California the Central Valley region would be in the center of all of it. Since the Central Valley region is surrounded by the mountain region a layer of of the soil that has washed away from the mountains has formed. Today the Central Valley is mostly farmland because of the rich soil. It has a very long growing season and produces a lot of fruit each year. About half of the nations vegetables, fruit, a and grains. People use this land for cities, towns, farming, dairy farming, and ranching.
