Camp life
Camp life was never easy, especially during the civil war. The basics for every soldier was usually soup and a cold hard piece of bread, and the portions varied. The quality of food was horrible, causing sickness.
The room and camps were made usually of wood, the beds where hard to sleep on, there wasn't much room either. A lot of the soldiers had to share much of their personal space with other soldiers.
There had been on major problem with living in the camps besides the fact of going to war and dangerous areas to stay, but also the fact that disease could get to them.
The soliders training was more of marching and doing drills to get prepared for the war. They learned how to build shelter to protect themselves from anything that could cause harm for them, they also leaned the necessity of maintaing their clothes, shoes, and weapons.
