One of the generals during the civil war had been Stonewall Jackson, and other had been James Longstreet.

Jackson was against slavery even though he had lived in Virginia which had been a slave state. He begun to teach at a Sunday school for the blacks which had been against the law of Virginias segregation law.

Generals and leader

Blacks had respected him though, for his bravery of doing the things he had done for the blacks. So after he died, one of the mothers of the children who went to a Sunday school he taught saved up enough money to have a memorial service for him.

When Jackson had been a Lieutenant, he had been in the mexican war where he learned how to properly fight and become the good leader he wanted to become. James Longstreet had been with Stonewall Jackson during the mexican war, both of them learning how to be good generals.
