Holden Caufield’s teenage angst infects the minds of the young

In J.D. Salinger's novel "The Catcher in the Rye," Holden Caulfield, a rebellious teenager feeds the minds of the teenagers in the 1960s. Little did this generation know, that this book would b considered an incredible novel in literature for years to come. However, in the 1960s, Holden Caulfield was viewed a teen who knew how the world worked. He questioned everything that the government told him, everything his parents said, he was a picture perfect rebel in the eyes of teens from the 1960s.
