-When a plant, animal dies, it is broken into tiny pieces and those pieces become part of the soil.

Decomposition is related to the Nitrogen Cycle because decomposers break down nitrogen compounds and animal waste that returns to the soil.

Importance of Nitrogen
-Nitrogen is important to living things because if it's a animal or plant, they both use the nitrogen to build and create their tissue and proteins.
