Tropism
This is Thigmotropism.
Thigmotropism is when plants response to a touch or contact. These two trees touched each other and are now growing towards each other. Another example of thigmotropism is vines wrapped around a tree.
This is Hydrotropism. Hydrotropism is the response of plants to water. Like when roots grow away or too water. These roots are growing towards the little water that is left in the small creek below.
This is phototropism. Phototropism is when plants response to a light source, like a lamp or flashlight. These plants are growing towards the lamps light.
This is Geotropism. Geotropism is the growth of plants to the response of gravity.In this picture it shows three plants. One is growing normally, one is growing sideways, and the third is growing upside down. This is an example of Geotropism because of the third plant. The third one has its roots growing straight but the stem has made its way to grow straight.
