Saying Goodbye:
In chapter one he goes to watch a football game witch he doesn't really watch. He stands outside the gate and kind of gives a goodbye to everyone for some closure. He is getting kicked out of Pency because he can't keep his grades up. He has been kicked out of many schools and has never had any closure.

Old Spencer:
In chapter two he goes to visit one of the teachers he actually liked at Pency. He sees Spencer in his bed clothes, which he does not like because he doesn't like old people in their bed clothes. Old spencer tells him that he needs to get his act together and Holden just sits there and shoots him some bull. Finally he leaves just because he gets tired of hearing the same old things.
