The Roommates:
In chapter three Holden introduces Ackley who shares a bathroom with his room. Ackley is someone who is kind of nasty and is socially awkward. His teeth are nasty and doesn't know how to take a hint. Then his roommate comes in, Stradlater, and needs to borrow Holden's jacket for a date. Also, he asks Holden to write a paper for him. The girl he is going on a date with is Holden's fantasy girl.

The Girl:
In chapter four Stadlater is getting for the date while Holden continuously asks questions about who he is going with. Finally Stradlater says it is Jane Gallagher. Holden is in shock because he fantasies about her. He is awfully worried how the date is going to go because Stradlater is a sexy guy.
