The Glove of Poems:
In chapter five Holden ends up writing the paper Stradlater told him to write. Instead of writing about a house like he is suppose to, he writes about his brother Allie who has died. Allie was smart and sweet and use to write poems on his gloves for baseball. So he writes about the glove full of poems.

Tension Rises:
In chapter 6 Stradlater comes back from the date and reads the paper. He hates it because it isn't about the house like it needs to be. Then Holden's starts to demand how the date went and Stradlater won't answer him. Finally Stradlater punches Holden, leaving him on the ground while he leaves. After he leaves Holden goes to Ackleys room sleeps for a little bit.
