Phony:
Holden gave Carl Luce a buzz and made plans for a drink at Ten o'clock. Holden had a lot of time to spare so he went to the movies at Radio City. At the show there was this lady crying for every part and the phonies the play the worst she cried and the funny part was that she wasn't kindhearted at all. After the show he started walking to meet up Carl and on the way there he started thinking about war and all and about his brother D.B.

Drunk:
Holden arrived at the Bar and Carl was already there. We'll they had a drink and Holden started asking him questions Carl didn't like , like asking him questions about his sex life and stuff. All Holden is doing is annoying the heck out of Carl and he's not liking it. Holden is drunk and taking it too far making it personal and stuff so Carl just leaves.
