I HAVE WON! All the other Aztecs surrendered! Thank you so much God! I will return to Spain and be recognized! I have lost half of my brave and strong soldiers. I will never forget how we did this together. Montezuma died on July 1 of 1520. Also a lot of people died of the disease called small pox. I do not know where it has came from but that helped me a lot to defeat these people! The land is mine! We defeated most of the Aztecs exactly a year ago. I don't know how to thank God! I was supposed to be killed by Pánfilo de Narváez. He was sent by Velazquez. He was my dear friend; now my dear enemy! He sent Narváez on April 1520. He is the worst explorer of all time! Again thank you God for staying at my side! All of my soldiers and allies; I will never forget you! I will never forget this voyage as I go back to my homeland of Spain!
