To wear a long sleeved tunic is generally avoided be society. The toga is specifically meant as public display garment. For women, they also wore togas. They basically wear the the same clothes as men. There are two types of ways to style your toga. The first one is called the peplos. It is made from two rectangular pieces of cloth partially sewn together on both sides with open sections At the top folded down in the front and back. It will be pulled over the head, there for, forming a sleeveless dress. But the more common toga is called a chiton. It is a sleeved garment that is made from two pieces of cloth that is sewn together near the top. The garment is pulled over the top.
