Rome is located in Italy. It is close to the Tyrrhenian Sea, and Gaeta Italy. Rome was founded in 753 BC by twin sons Romulus and Remus. Roman legend says that Romulus had a twin brother called Remus. As babies they were abandoned in the area which later became Rome. Remus was the king of Rome. To bring water to the city they built aquaducts. (pipes) Romans believed in many gods and goddesses for many different reasons.
