Agriculture was a big part of Spain's economy, however, was lessened under the power of king Ferdinand and queen Isabella. Agricultural land was given to nobles and used for sheep grazing. Spanish was no match for Italy and was not good at trade by sea. Products were coming in to Spain but not out.
