Economic problems

Because Spain had given its good farming land to the nobles, agricultural labour (farming) was reduced substantially and Spain no longer had lots of products to sell. Colonies were bringing in precious metals like gold and silver, but there was an imbalance between imports and exports. This left Spain in an economical crisis and robbed them of high economic ranks.
