Mayan Achievements Continued
The Mayans also developed a writing system that was similar to the Egyptian's hieroglyphics. These symbols represented objects and sounds.
They created records, especially about what their kings accomplished in large stone tablets. They also wrote in bark paper books
Stories and poetry got passed down from one generation to another. Once the Spanish arrived Maya legends and history were written in a book called Popol Vuh.
This book provided valuable information about the Maya civilization.
