Most amusement in Texas were found in daily activities like horse racing, hunting, and fishing. Dancing was also popular. Many family's had hoedowns Saturday nights. Also fiesta activities like dancing, games, and food were enjoyed. Many people were brought together for baptisms and weddings. There were a few theater groups that entertained and newspapers brought news and entertainment.
