The growth of towns

In 1860 the number of people that lived in towns grew a lot. Galveston was the states biggest town and most developed port and trade center in the beginning of statehood. By 1860 San Antonio became the largest town. Houston became the 3rd biggest towns. None of these could be called cities. Texas had two manufacturing facilities one in Houston and the other in Henderson.
