Changes in Texas

Texas became a state and on February 19, 1846, President Anson Jones gave his farewell address. A lot of the Texans looked at it as a homecoming since many of them moved to Texas from the U.S. They were familiar with all of the customs of the U.S. But they experienced rapid changes in the years that followed.
