Early childhood
Thomas Edison was born on February 11, 1847. His first experiment was when he was 2 years old. He tried to sit on the mother goose's eggs to hatch them. Al sat on the eggs and he broke the eggs. He knew birds ate worms and they can fly. So Al mashed up worms and water. Then he talked his very best friend into drinking the mixture. He thought the mixture was going to make his friend fly because birds ate worms and they can fly.
When Al went to school, Al's teacher said his brain didn't work right. Then his mother went to his school and said Al was even smarter than the teacher. His mom taught him at home and his mom didn't mind if he asked questions . He was curious if reading books and asking questions will lead him some where.
