Definition: The difference between point deletion and chromosomal deletion is that in chromosomal deletion a whole segment of the nucleotide is deleted, not just a single chromosome like in point mutation.
Example: Wolf-hirsch horn syndrome, caused by a segment of deletion of the short arm of chromosome 4.
