Rommel in the Nazi Party

After Rommel joined Hitler's private security batallion, he and Hitler became good friends. Hitler often confided and spoke with Rommel about serious issues and would ask for his input. Due to Hitler's admiration for Rommel, he promoted him to general and then gave him control of the Seventh Panzer division on October 10th, 1938.
