What Led Erwin Rommel to the Nazi Party?

After being Promoted to Hitler's private security batallion, Rommel excelled at the position and saved Hitler from possible danger many times. Hitler than grew to trust Rommel, and the two started being exposed to each other more often. Rommel, who was often around Hitler, was then persuaded to join the Nazi party.
