Politics:

Government: Kings and nobles were the ones who made the law and called all the shots. Although there were a group of people who could overrule the king. It was the Kings decision on whether or not to follow this groups advice.

Law code: followed Code of Hammurabi, known to be one of the oldest codes of laws in the world. Many of the laws pertained to slavery. Also followed later on, Sumerian, Babylonian, and Assyrian laws.

Leaders: Priests essentially. Of all time to be known were Ur-Nammu, and Sargon of Akkad. of

Gender roles: female slaves were used to weave city & grind grains.

The Sumerian kings lived in large palaces and assorted in ruling.

Family relations: Nobles were allowed to have multiple wives that from different classes. Other regular men were only allowed to have one. Women were allowed to do as she pleased as long as her husband allowed her to do so or she was a widow. Boys were preferred so in case something such as divorce were to happen the men's side would be taken. Anyone allowed in a home as far as family like grandparents.

Social class: Three main groups- nobles, commoners, and the slaves. Nobles were Royal and religious officials, commoners are exactly what it sounds like, just common people such as farmers and merchants. Slaves worked building and were owned to prestigious people.
