Key Battle: Yorktown
The Battle of Yorktown was on October 9, 1781 in Yorktown, Virginia. The strategy was to communicate and get supplies for war. When the Patriots surrounded the British, General Cornwallis surrendered and that ended the war. The Patriots won the battle. This was the last battle of the Revolutionary war. Soon British began peace negotiations with the Americans.
There were 309 men killed and 326 men wounded.
