Key Battle: Saratoga
The battle of Saratoga was on September 19 to October 7, 1777. The battle took place in Saratoga County, New York. The strategy was to invade America from Canada by advancing down the Hudson Valley to Albany. Once they got down there they would join other British troops. 440 British men were killed in the battle, 695 men wounded, and 6,222 men captured.
