Symptoms

This disorder is actually very common, affecting 1 in 20 people, or 5% of the entire population. This disorder normally begins in adolescence, and continue throughout their whole life. Many people with this condition do not realize that they have it, leading to many not seeking medical attention.

Dermatillomania is an ICD where the person compulsively skin picks. It is reported that some of the most severe cases pick, pop, or dig for up to several hour per day. This disorder heavily affects the person by lowering self-esteem, delays in getting to work/school, and complications in
