Plessy was defeated. He had lost the case that he had taken all the way to the Supreme Court. His reasons were hard to fight against. Yet, he lost. This impowered the people. This was a turning point in history. This case went on for a long time. As it started on 1896, segregation ended in 1964. For having a whole world full of segregation, this was a short amount of time to make everything in the world equal. This started the spark of a new life for everyone.
