What is the importance of this event?

This event changed the Civil Rights Movement tremendously. This case broke the ground between the two races. Without this event, there would still be unequality. This event made a BIG positive impact. It was known that whites had more freedom and rights than the African Americans, but the Plessy v.s Ferguson case tested the truth of that statement. It also gave a positive outlook for the African Americans rights. The 13th and 14th Amendments gave them a valid reason to earn their equality back.
