How did this event leave a positive impact?

Segregation was hard, scary, and usual. That's the thing- it was usual. Plessy knew this, he just wanted to ride a train to Orlando. Nobody knew this at the time. Everyone wanted what was normal, and what felt right to them. Today, it is mostly unusual to see that kind of behavior. With the knowledge you have learned, you can see how this has changed. Many other people have done the same, but Plessy's story stands out. He looked white, and lived a lifestyle as if so. This made others want to do the same-and it positively impacted how the African Americans lived. This effected them even before the case was brought up.
