Common Name: Queen Anne's Lace


Scientific Name: Daucus Carota


Description: It is native to temperate regions of Europe and Southwest Asia and it now is found throughout the U.S. This plant is also known as "wild carrot", and it can be found in fields, meadows, waste areas, and roadsides. The Queen Anne's Lace flower resembles lace and blooms from May until October. It is also an invasive weed and can be a threat to recovering grasslands.



Fun Fact:
This plant was named after Queen Anne of England who was an expert lace maker.
