Redundancy and retraining is a way of being asked to leave the job, but includes payouts to compensate for the need of dismissal. A worker is made redundant for many things, including economic, or technological reasons. They receive payments for; unused long service and sick leave, unused holiday pay and leave loading, termination pay, redundancy payments, and redundancy pay from their superannuation.
