Women in Abolition
In the 1830s, thousands of women were involved in the movement to abolish slavery. Women wrote articles in abolitionist papers . They also circulated, signed and delivered petitions to congress asking for abolition. Many of the women involved in the abolition movement became apart of the women's rights movement as well.
