In order to keep the morality rate at a minimum, multiple strategies were used to protect the fish and increase their chances of survival. The water's pH, nitrate, nitrite, temperature, alkalinity, chlorine, hardness, and ammonia levels were tested often. The API Freshwater Master Test Kit was used often to test the water as well as test strips. A chiller unit was used to keep the water at a proper temperature for the fish to stay alive. The Tetra Whisper EX70 Filter was used to keep the tank clean. API Aquarium Salts were added later to keep the levels in the tank at the best possible for the fish. Overall a lot was done to make sure the fish were healthy as possible.
