#3 Enchanted

The song “Enchanted” by Taylor Swift, track #3 relates to “Romeo and Juliet” because the song talks about someone being really sad until someone catches their eye. In the song “Enchanted” Taylor Swift sings “There I was again tonight forcing laughter, faking smiles” clearing up how she isn’t happy to be where she is and she is trying to act happy but is sad. In the book “Romeo and Juliet” (act:1.4) Romeo says “It looks like a lot of fun, but I'll sit this one out’’ he says this because he is still heartbroken from his last lover but he ends up going to the dance not thinking he will meet anyone. The lyrics say “And it was enchanting to meet you” explaining that it was charming meeting her. The other quote from the book (act:1.5) is when Romeo says “My eyes were liars, then, because I never saw true beauty before tonight” analyzing how Romeo thinks she is the most beautiful person he has ever seen.
