#8 A Thousand Years

The song “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri, track #8 corresponds with the book “Romeo and Juliet because in the book Romeo explains his love by making it seem like he could love her for a thousand years. In the song, Christina says “I have died every day waiting for you

Darling, don't be afraid I have loved you

For a thousand years” it is about being in love with someone for a thousand years and that’s how long Romeo and Juliets love will last. In the book (act:2.2) Romeo says “I love rich Capulet’s daughter. I love her, and she loves me.” clarifying their love to Frair. In the song it also says “I will not let anything take away. What's standing in front of me”. In the book Romeo won’t let anyone take away Juliet from him. Another quote (act:2.3) from the book is when Romeo says “The girl I love loves me back” which is saying that they have a good chance at being together and being happy because she loves him back.
