#4 Love Story

The song “Love Story” by Taylor Swift, track #4 and “Romeo and Juliet” correspond because the song is the short story about “Romeo and Juliet”. In the song “Love Story” the lyrics say “So I sneak out to the garden to see you. We keep quiet 'cause we're dead if they knew” saying that if they see her and Romeo her parents will kill him because they are enemies. In the book (act:2.2) Juliet says “If they see you, they’ll murder you” making it obvious that her parents hate Romeo and his family. In the song it also says “Romeo, save me, they're trying to tell me how to feel” showing you that “they” as in her parents are telling her to marry Paris and that Romeo is a criminal. Another quote from the book is (act:3.5) Juliets father says “And if you don’t go on your own, I’ll drag you there” telling us that he is forcing her to marry someone she doesn't love and he will drag her there if he has too.
