#10 More Than This

The song “More Than This” by One Direction, track #10 corresponds with the book “Romeo and Juliet” by talking about how one guy could treat a girl better than the other guy which was what Romeo was telling Juliet half of the time (Romeo can treat her better than Paris). In the song One Direction sang they said “When he opens his arms and holds you close tonight, it just won't feel right, 'Cause I can love you more than this” saying how Romeo could love Juliet more than Paris. In the book (act:3.4) Paris says “These times of pain are bad times for romance. Madam, good night. Give my regards to your daughter” but if it was Romeo he would have comforted her not sent his regards like Paris. In the song the lyrics also says “When he lays you down, I might just die inside, it just don't feel right, 'Cause I can love you more than this” still saying that he can love her more than “him”. Another quote from the book is “Girls younger than she often marry and become happy mothers” Paris says this (pushing her into marriage). Romeo on the other hand wouldn’t treat her like that.
