Medicine on The Battlefront

On the battlefront, soldiers faced many diseases and infections such as muddy conditions due to rain, trench foot, latrine issues, and malnutrition.

Muddy conditions occurred in the trench's because poor weather conditions(rain) led to dense mud.

Trench foot was caused by spending too much time in the trenches and have moist feet.

Latrine issues were unsanitary and usually gave a stench from rotting corpses and bathroom smells.

Malnutrition is a lack of food supply; shortage of food on the battlefront

These conditions have led to danger on the battlefront.

Plants and natural herbs were used at this time period. Cannabis was used to treat stress and post traumatic stress in extreme conditions.
