Her Mission

Hannah's Mission: Hannah volunteered to start paratrooper training in 1944 in Egypt. Out of the 250 volunteers, only 110 were selected for training, and 33 went on rescue missions. On March 15th, 1944, Hannah and several others parachuted into Yugoslavia, where they assisted anti-nazi forces. They crossed the border into Hungary on May 13th, and were captured within hours of crossing the border. She was then tortured at the Horthy Miklos Prison for information on the Allied wireless code.
