Women's Rights Movement
Women requested the right to vote, equal job opportunities and equal education.
At the Seneca Falls Convention, 300 women gathered to discuss ways to gain more independence and rights in the United States.
The rights of women became an important reform in the 1830's. Women strongly desired change and equal opportunity. At Seneca Falls, they discussed what they must do as women to claim their independence.
